This is the Nandi mandapa (pillared hall) facing the Mahanaleshwar Temple. It is an open mandapa consisting of a plinth with four pillars on its corners that support a canopy shikhara (superstructure). Nandi is facing the garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) of the temple.
